Looking up a student's ID number

Gibson Advisor tab
If you have access to the Advisor tab in Gibson, you can search by typing in the student’s first and last name. If you get multiple search results, you can reference the Splash Card photo if available. If not photo is available, you may find searching in Banner more helpful.
Banner
Look up by name (SPAIDEN/SOAIDEN)
You can look up a student’s ID in SPAIDEN. You can also use the lookup button on the ID field on any Banner screen to search.
In the SPAIDEN key block, click the look up button.
Select Person Search from the menu.
Enter the first and last name of the person in the search fields. Click Go.
If more than one person in Banner has the same first and last name, all records will display, with middle names, and birth date, so you can select your correct Banner record.
Double click in the ID field with the Banner ID. Click Go to access the record.
Lookup by email or phone number (GUISRCH)
If you receive an email or a voicemail from a student without any additional information, you can use GUISRCH to look them up by email or phone number.
In the GUISRCH key block, enter the email address in the E-mail field. If you’re searching by phone number, enter the area code and phone number in the respective fields. Go.
The results list any IDs with that email or phone number.
